general rules.
PG-13: Everything in the Hostelry public MUST be PG-13 or less. No public erotic anything, no public gore, no bodily fluids anywhere outside bodies. (This does exclude the fighting pits, where we expect bloodshed.)
Disservice: Dark Star Hostelry is a DISSERVICE fighting tavern. Staff might insult you. That's part of the fun. However, if you need staff to back down, you are responsible for sending them a /tell and saying "I do not wish for more disservice." They will continue serving, but will direct the sass elsewhere.
No Minions/Weapons: Please do not come in with minions out. Weapons are fine. We're a fight venue. We expect weapons.
Designated Areas: Do not glitch into walls or furniture on purpose. Do not enter rooms without permission.
No Intolerance: We are an immersive RP venue that caters to RP skill levels of all types. Staff will not be giving disservice based on race, skin tone, pronouns, gender presentation, disability, or sexual preference. We ask that you give us the same respect.
Shout/Yell: These are reserved for fights and staff, please do not use them unless in a pit and you have been instructed to.
No Spells/Distracting Effects: Spells and dramatic effects are reserved for in the fighting pits.

GRINDSTONE RULES: We use Grindstone/Runestone Rules. Players will type /random to determine who hits first. First to five hits wins. Fights are one hour. If no winner has been determined by the time the hour is up, the person with the most hits will win.

SEASON POINTS: We have fighting seasons. Everyone who enters a fight and stays to conclusion gets a point. Winners of fights get two points. We will keep a spreadsheet that the public can view at any time.
AT THE END of a season...: Last Saturdays of January, April, July, and October, we will hold a tournament. To be entered into the tournament, you must have accrued 5 points in our fights beforehand.
PRIZES: The Season champion will receive a sketch of their character and a discord trophy icon. The Season Tournament Champion will receive a full color drawing of their character along with a discord trophy icon. Both will get a special role on discord.
